  1. PasteFS Technologies
  2. PasteFS is built on many free technologies, so we would like to acknowledge them and the awesome programmers who built free software for the benifit of mankind. Here are a few technologies that we're using...
  3. - PHP
  4. - MySQL
  5. - PostgreSQL
  6. There are many other technologies used including jquery, html5, css3 but I don't think they're worth mentioning.
  7. Started as Paste Tool like pastebin or hastebin, but it is also heavily inspired by Resourcespace. We built a DAM over a paste tool.
  8. Initially we were not happy with the resource stuff coming under separate pastes. i.e. resources appear as un-separably attached to pastes. While in resourcespace theyre not. But just like it had disadvantages, it had advantages too. For example, data is more organized uder posts instead of being a separate entity.
  9. PostgreSQL server is being used for key generation only. It keeps track of the keys and keep all the attached systems in sync. But this doesn't come in as an SPOF, if the PostgreSQL server goes down, it will only send the system to maintenance mode i.e. stuff can be retrieved and read but can't be posted.
  10. MySQL is used to store temporary data as well metadata. But data is not stored in mysql.
  11. PHP is being used to retrieve the data and provide interface to the user. Currently we're using php 7. Which is good for many reasons including multithreading though we're not using multithreading built on PHP. we're doing the multithreading using exec. so php 7 is good but not required.
